Jia Zeng’s artworks explore the dynamics of vibrating existences, sometimes perceiving them as a whole and other times focusing on a single element, seeing it as another assemblage. It is like eating soup: sometimes one takes a full spoonful, experiencing everything at once, while other times, attention is given to a single ingredient. She investigates the connections between the food in the spoon, the relationship between the spoon and the bowl, and the interplay of all elements within the composition.

She creates digital drawings, animations, sounds, immersive installations, and technology-included works to experiment with the differences between each construction of shattered existences. She observes the vibration and flow of motions, then visualizes these experiments. For instance, she uses digital animations to demonstrate the changing moments in forms, where instability and stillness are involved. Many of her works are interactive, allowing viewers to experience and transform the work itself, adding even more fluidity and inner components to the composition.
